The worlds most active volcano, Kilauea, continues flowing rivers of fire into the Pacific Ocean and guests have a front row seat just offshore in a lava boat. In addition, the Puna Coastline is home to many natural features including black sand beaches, ancient lava tubes, most recent eruptions, view of current volcanic eruption, rainbows, sea arches and a varied array of sea life (dolphins, flying fish, sea turtles and others). Guests should bring a hat, camera, sunscreen, sunglasses, jacket/poncho & towel.
NOTE: Children under 48”, or under the age of 6, are not able to ride on a lava excursion. For safety reasons, everyone should be in good general health and be able to climb a 6 step ladder to board vessel. Not recommended for pregnant women or those with back injuries, recent strains/sprains, high blood pressure or heart condition, breathing difficulties, wheelchairs/crutches, etc.
